Pair of women and children taken to hospital after A1066 crash




A woman suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital after a two-vehicle crash on the A1066.

The incident, which also saw another woman and two children taken to West Suffolk Hospital, happened at Riddlesworth, between Thetford and Diss, on Friday at around 4.30pm.

A critical care paramedic from the emergency medical charity SARS was the first on the scene, followed the likes Norfolk Police, a trio of ambulances, a hazardous area response team and the air ambulance.

Fire crews from Thetford, East Harling and Diss used hydraulic rescue equipment and the road was closed whilst the scene was made safe.

A police appeal has been launched for witnesses to come forwa
