A pair of burglaries at two separate addresses in Rickinghall at the weekend has set off a police appeal for witnesses.

In one incident, a garage on Ryder’s Way was broken into between 11pm on Saturday, January 10 and 8am on Sunday, January 11.

Numerous pieces of cycle equipment, including a blue Discovery Road bicycle, a grey XTC Cross Country off-road bike, a grey Scott Spark 4.0 cross-country off-road bicycle and a specialised cross country bicycle wheel were all stolen during the break-in.

The second burglary took place at a shed on The Chestnuts between 4pm on Saturday and 10am on Sunday, in which an unknown number of offenders made off with a small off-road motorbike and a STIHL orange and black hedge cutter.

It is currently unknown whether or not these break-ins are linked.

Anybody with information about either incident should contact PC Jaques Grotier on 101, quoting reference ST/15/107, or alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
