Emergency services including police, fire and ambulance attend pair of incidents on A11, near Attleborough, and in Banham




Emergency services dealt with a pair of collisions in an evening this week – one which saw a major road closed and another which saw a driver freed from their vehicle.

On Tuesday, at around 5.20pm, fire crews from Wymondham, Thetford and Sprowston and officers from Norfolk Police attended an incident on the A11 at Attleborough.

The collision, which involved two cars and a lorry, saw the road closed until 8pm and there were no injuries.

Then at 9pm, emergency services including ambulance and air ambulance, attended a single vehicle collision in Crown Street, Banham.

Fire crews from Attleboorugh and East Harling attended, with reports that a car had overturned.

Crews used hydraulic rescue equipment to release a woman from the car and she was taken to Norfolk and Norwich Hospital with minor injuries.

This incident was closed just before 10pm.
