Pair hospitalised after car and lorry accident in Winfarthing

Two people were hospitalised after a car and a lorry were involved in an accident in Winfarthing yesterday.

The incident is thought to have happened at about 1.30pm in Mile Road and involved a lorry and a Fiat 500.

Fire crews from Attleborough in Diss attended, using hydraulic rescue equipment to free one person and provide scene safety, while two ambulances were also sent to the scene.

Two people were taking to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, with one person complaining of back pain and another with a suspected neck injury.

Their injuries were not thought to be serious or life-threatening.

The road was clear again just after 3.30pm.
