Diss Opticians Scrivens has raised £200 in a fundraising walk and cycle




The team at a Diss opticians clocked up more than 500 miles during August to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society.

In search of an memorable way to mark the company’s 85th anniversary, the team at Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care in Mere Street worked together to walk and cycle their way to their 500 sponsored miles throughout August.

To celebrate the team’s achievement and milestone anniversary, customers were invited into the branch for a celebratory tea party.

Branch manager Joanne Batchelor said: “The team and I were eager to go the extra mile to celebrate Scrivens’ 85th anniversary.

“I’m so proud that everyone worked together to clock up so many miles and raise money to support the work of our charity partner, Alzheimer’s Society.

“It’s brilliant to know that the money raised will make a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia.”

The team raised £200.
