Occold had three winners and six commended poets and, as a result, was crowned the overall winner.

“Our children love writing poetry and we try to create real life opportunities for them both inside and out of the classroom to inspire their writing,” said headteacher Gemma Watts.

“This year, many of our children have been particularly inspired by nature in their writing.”
