Norfolk Open Studios cancels 30th year due to lack of artists
An award-winning art scheme has announced it will not be going ahead this year – for its 30th anniversary.
Norfolk Open Studios, which has seen various artists open their creative spaces for the last three decades, has been cancelled due to a downturn in applicants say organisers.
Daniel Randall-Dawson, the producer of the Norfolk Open Studios, said: “We are saddened that this year’s event will not be going ahead.
“Norfolk Open Studios is a paid subscription scheme and unfortunately, we did not receive enough artist applications to be able to deliver it this year.
“We have been celebrating our county’s artists for three decades and we hope that artists who were planning on taking part can continue to open their studios and run events to share their work with visitors throughout the county.”
Norfolk Open Studios has shone a spotlight on thousands of the county’s artists at all stages of their careers.
