Pubs, restaurants and non-essential shops in Norfolk and Suffolk will be forced to close from Boxing Day, after it was announced today that both counties will be placed under Tier 4 restrictions.
With cases spreading in East Anglia, health secretary Matt Hancock announced today that both counties, which are currently under Tier 2 restrictions, will be placed under the new, highest tier as of 00:01 on Boxing Day.
This means that pubs and restaurants must close unless offering takeaway or delivery, theatre shows will be cancelled and spectators will no longer be able to attend sporting events.
