Nominations for Diss Honoured Citizen Award and Junior Good Citizen are now open




Nominations have opened to celebrate townspeople who go above and beyond to make the community special.

Diss Town Council is asking residents to put forward names for the Diss Citizen Awards 2025.

The awards are split into the Diss Honoured Citizen Award and the Junior Good Citizen.

Last year saw Mary Cotton and Mike Garnham, both members of the Diss and District branch of the Royal British Legion (RBL), named as joint winners.

Mrs Cotton was singled out for her dedicated fundraising for the organisation’s Poppy Appeal, in which she collecting more than £6,000 over 14-days at Morrisons in Diss.

Mr Garnham, a RBL standard bearer, was recognised for work behind the scenes in helping to organise Remembrance Sunday.

Nomination forms, which must be in by March 3, can be downloaded from the Diss Town Council website or are available from the council offices.
