Members of Diss Salvation Army Scout and Guide Group took part in their annual group camp last month.
The camp, in Diss, featured members from the local Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Rainbows, Brownies and Guides groups. They were able to use some of the new equipment that they have been able to buy as a result of a grants from South Norfolk Council and the Norfolk Community Foundation. County Councillor, Jenny Chamberlain, visited the campsite and was shown round the new equipment by some of the children. The new equipment included new tents, a gas cage, new cooking equipment, a laptop and much more. The weekend was planned around a theme of water and with thunderstorms on the Saturday, the weather certainly suited that. The groups took part in a number of activities from creating boats to carrying eggs across a pool and creating jelly aquariums.
