Multiple emergency services called to serious collision on A1066, near Brettenham




A number of emergency services, including the air ambulance and Norfolk Fire and Rescue service, were called to a serious collision on the A1066 last night.

A pair of volunteer paramedics from the emergency medical charity Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) as well as the East of England Ambulance Service also attended the single car collision on the A1066 near Brettenham.

Ben Hall, the charity’s manager, said: “The incident happened at around 8.30pm and involved a single vehicle which had come off the road. A male patient was assessed and treated at the scene and later taken to hospital.”

The Norfolk Fire Log stated that crews from Thetford and East Harling used hydraulic rescue equipment and small gear to release one casualty from the vehicle, with a stop time for the incident being 9.19pm.
