Motorcyclist taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by air ambulance with life-threatening injuries after crash in Weybread near Eye and Diss




A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital by air ambulance with life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle crash at a junction in Suffolk.

Police were called shortly after 3.30pm on Friday to reports of a collision involving a silver Nissan and a white motorcycle at the Three Ways junction in Weybread, near Diss and Eye.

The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 20s, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by air ambulance, where he remains.

Closures were in place at the junction for both Withersdale Road (B1123) and Harleston Road (B1116).

The junction reopened after 10pm.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident - or of the manner of driving prior to the collision - to come forward.
