A motorbike was deliberately set alight in Bungay during the early hours of this morning, fire service chiefs say.

Crews were called to the park off Castle Lane just before 4.10am today after flames and smoke were seen in the area.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the bike was well alight when they arrived. They spent around half an hour at the scene.

A post on the service’s Facebook page said: “The cause of the fire is deliberate and Suffolk Police have been informed.”
