The organisers of this year’s Journey Through The Ages Vintage Rally and Country Fair say they have been overwhelmed with the number of entrants booked.
More than 400 exhibitors will be on site at Goodrich Park, Palgrave, on June 20 and 21, displaying a variety of vintage vehicles including classic commercials, military, tractors and cars.
It will run on the Saturday, from 10am to 6pm, and the Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Tickets are £6 for adults, and £4 for four to 16-year-olds. Parking is free, and dogs are welcome.
A spokesperson for the event said: “There will also be plenty of steam adding a great atmosphere to the park with full size showman’s engines, road rollers and a superb display of wood sawing using a traditional saw bench and smaller scale models steaming around.
“Within the countryside area will be a number of demonstrators including black smiths, , chainsaw sculptures, stone masons and wood turners working with traditional pole lathes. It really will have something for everyone.”
The Suffolk Land Rover Club will offering rides around an especially constructed off road course, and new for this year, will be the chance to ride in a full size tank. Children will be able to enjoy the falconry displays, watch the Shire Horse and see a ferret display.
