A technology solutions firm in Diss announced its fundraising for a Norfolk-based cancer charity has crossed the £10,500 mark, following a Halloween fun day last week at its headquarters.
Members of staff at Midwich, which is located in Vinces Road, dressed up in costumes, produced themed cakes and pumpkins and entered various competitions during an event last Friday – the latest in their ongoing fundraisers supporting the Big C, a foundation that helps people in the region affected by cancer.
Aaron Lawther, a sales manager for Midwich, said: “The day was a big success. We saw some brilliant scary costumes as well as fantastic entries to the Halloween bake sale and pumpkin carving competition.”
Melanie Smith-Kerry, another sales manager at the company, added: “The atmosphere and vibe in the office when I walked in on Friday blew me away.
“It was so rewarding to see such a big team of people pull together and make the day successful.
“It was once again a pleasure to raise the profile of the Big C within our business.”
Other events held throughout the year for the benefit of the charity include a summer fete, a charity car wash, a quiz night and a special bike to work day.
