Men in balaclavas commit Wortham burglary

Two men wearing balaclavas have stolen a host of items from a Wortham property.

It happened in Church Road at about 8.30pm last night.

The resident heard a noise outside and went to investigate, finding two men wearing balaclavas who had broken into an outbuilding.

The suspects left the scene in a silver Vauxhall Vectra with a stolen Ifor Williams trailer attached, which was carrying a stolen children’s motocross bike and pressure washer, but this was later found abandoned near to the A143.

Plant equipment, power tools and a number of radio-controlled cars, including a VW Beetle, monster truck, Army Jeep, Ford Focus and Ford Mustang, were also stolen and have not yet been recovered.
