Memory Lane: Were you in the Scouts or Guides?

This week’s Memory Lane involves the joys of camping.

The only other detail on the back of the photograph is that it was a scouts and guides camp in Diss Park.

• These days, the 1st Diss Scout Group meets at the Scout and Guide Hall in Heywood Road.

Its beavers meet on Fridays, between 5.45pm and 6.45pm, its cubs on Thursdays, between 6pm and 7.30pm, and its Scouts on Fridays, from 7.30pm to 9pm.

• The 2nd Diss Scouts meet in the community centre behind the Salvation Army in Sunnyside.

Beavers meet on Tuesdays, between 6.30pm to 7pm, its cubs on Mondays, from 6pm to 7.30pm, and its Scouts and Explorers on Mondays, from 7.30pm to 9pm.
