Memory Lane: Is this band of brothers Pendragon?

You never quite know what you will discover when you go rummaging through the Diss Express archives.

Take this picture, which shows four gentlemen roaming a field with only some musical instruments for company. The caption on the back of the photo simply says ‘Pendragon’.

After a little research, we discovered that the band Pendragon was established in Stroud, Gloucestershire, in 1978 by founder member Nick Barrett and are, apparently, a neo-progressive rock band.

Does this picture yell neo-progressive rock band to you? Are these the same guys? We are not so sure.

Pendragon have had many members and, try as we might, we cannot match the faces of this quartet to any of the group’s past or present musicians.

So, is this Pendragon? If not, who are they and what are they doing in the countryside with an odd mix of instruments.
