A11 crash which sees car on fire leaves man seriously injured




A crash on the A11 which saw a car on fire, a section of the road closed for hours and left a man with serious injuries is being investigated by police.

The incident happened yesterday at around 2.26pm, when a silver Honda Accord left the road, rolled, and collided with trees as it travelled northbound, near the Larling junction.

Police and the air ambulance attended as well as fire crews from Thetford, Attleborough and East Harling assisted as the car was on fire.

The road was closed well into the evening and a man in his 20s was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with serious injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses, and anyone with dashcam footage of the collision or the manner of driving prior to call 101, quoting reference 279 of 30 July 2024.
