Man in ‘life-threatening condition’ following collision near Yaxley


A man was taken to hospital in a ‘life-threatening condition’ after a serious road traffic collision on the A140 near Yaxley.

A pedestrian had been involved in a collision with a car at around 12.15am on Saturday.

Paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service and a specialist team from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) charity treated a male patient, believed to be aged in his 20s, for serious pelvic and leg injuries.

The patient was then accompanied by the SARS team in a land ambulance to the West Suffolk Hospital.
