Man in 80s seriously injured in hospital after Wattisfield Road, Walsham-le-Willows, two-car crash




A man in his 80s was left seriously injured in hospital after a two vehicle crash in a village on Friday.

Police were called to the collision between a Kia Soul and a Land Rover Discovery in Wattisfield Road, Walsham-le-Willows, just after 10.30am.

The man in his 80s suffered serious injuries and is still in hospital.

A man in his 50s was initially arrested on suspicion of drug-driving and causing serious injury by careless driving, but was later de-arrested after requiring a check up at hospital.

He will be formally interviewed under caution in due course.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision or those driving in the area at the time with dash cam footage.
