A man was hospitalised after a car hit a tree in Hargham in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) received a call at 4.38am to reports of a collision in Hargham Road.

An ambulance crew and ambulance officer attended and treated one patient, a man in his 20s, who was trapped in the vehicle after it had rolled and collided with a tree.

The patient, who had chest, back and leg pain, was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further treatment.

A spokesperson for EEAST said his injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
