A man in his 20s was taken to hospital after a crash in Bressingham in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The incident happened in Common Road at 12.58am. The collision involved an Audi S6 and a Ford Transit van.

A pair of fire crews from Diss attended the scene, and used hydraulic rescue equipment to free one of the motorists.

The incident was under control within an hour.

The East of England Ambulance Service Trust was in attendance, and treated the man in his 20s for a head injury.

A spokesperson said: “He was conscious and breathing and not thought to have sustained life-threatening injuries. He was conveyed to West Suffolk Hospital for further treatment.”
