Man from Eye charged with driving offences

LEARN MOREA man has been charged with driving offences in the Redlingfeld area near Eye.
It follows an incident when a victim, aged in his 70s, handed their car over to a male known to the victim.
The man advised he would complete a simple repair of the vehicle’s locking system, but since has not engaged with the victim and failed to return the vehicle.
A man was arrested and subsequently charged with taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent between 11 December 2019 and 16 December 2019.
He was also charged with driving without a valid licence, driving without insurance, failure to stop when directed by an officer, driving without due care and attention.
Ronald Bailey, 68, of Cranley Road in Eye, was released on bail to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court on June 16.
