Shropham crash just outside Snetterton causes the death of man in his 30s




A man in his 30s has died after a collision which happened in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Emergency services were called shortly after 2am after reports that a blue Vauxhall Meriva car, which was travelling along Hargham Road near Snetterton towards the centre of Shropham village, had left the road.

Norfolk Police closed the road and emergency services tended to the driver, whose vehicle had struck a tree.

He was declared dead at the scene and nobody else was injured in the collision.

Police reopened the road shortly after 8am and have subsequently launched an appeal and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of the Vauxhall Meriva before the collision, and anybody with dashcam footage of the incident.
