A man in his 50s had to be cut free from his car after a crash on the A11 in Attleborough this morning.

The incident happened at the Stag roundabout, just before 4am.

Three fire crews from Wymondham and another from Attleborough attended, and used hydraulic rescue equipment to release the man from a Honda Civic.

A spokersperson for the fire service the crash could have been caused by fog.

An ambulance officer and crew from the East of England Ambulance Service Trust were also at the scene, and treated the man for a minor head injury and back pain.

He was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further treatment.

The incident was under control by 4.27am.
