Man charged with £10,000 burglary of Mere Street shop in Diss




A man has been charged following a £10,000 burglary from a shop in Diss.

The incident happened in the early hours of May 12, this year.

A Mere Street store was broken into and a large number of products were stolen, as well as money.

Later that day, a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of burglary and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning. He was later released on bail with conditions.

On Monday, Jack Peel, 38, of Park Close, Wymondham, was charged with burglary and is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on January 24, for his first hearing.
