Man to appear in court on suspicion of attempted murder in Hardwick




A man is due to appear in court today charged with attempted murder after a woman was found with knife wounds in Hardwick.

Norfolk Police and the ambulance service were called to reports of an incident in Mill Lane, on Saturday morning, where the woman in her 40s was found on the road.

She was taken by ambulance to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with serious injuries where she remains in a stable condition.

A road closure was in place for several hours and a police cordon was put up while investigations were carried out.

Officers believe those involved were known to each other.

A man was arrested in Cambridgeshire and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Jonathan Creak, 50, of Westland Way, Woodstock, Oxfordshire, was charged on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a knife.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court today.
