A Long Stratton man has admitted seven charges of criminal damage in the village.

Allan Perkins, 58, of St Mary’s Road, was arrested last month after officers were called by a number of drivers reporting punctures to tyres after driving over screws in Long Stratton in a series of incidents in August, September and October.

Mr Perkins, who appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, was sentenced to a 12 month conditional discharge, and ordered to pay £414 in compensation.

He was also forced to pay a victim surcharge of £15, £85 costs and a £150 court users charge.
