Man arrested in connection with horrific horse attack in Mendham

A man has been arrested after a horse was fatally injured and had to be put down.
The incident took place between 4pm and 6pm on Tuesday, October 29 in Mendham where a horse had sustained a significant wound to the neck and shoulder whilst it was out of its paddock.
The horse, a female and aged 18, had to be put down as a result of the wound.
A 34-year-old man from the Norwich area was arrested late in the evening on Saturday, November 2 and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

He was released under investigation pending further enquiries.
