Man arrested and charged with assaulting trio of police officers after A11 crash




A man has been arrested and charged in Attleborough after three police officers were assaulted following a collision on the A11.

Police were called to reports of a two vehicle crash on Friday just before 10pm.

A man in his 20s was arrested shortly after in Peacock Way on suspicion of drink driving, careless driving and assaulting an emergency worker and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning. He has been released under investigation for the driving offences.

Subsequently, Jericho Baker, 23, of Drakes Close, Norwich, has been charged with failing to provide a specimen for testing, three counts of assaulting a police officer and one count of resisting an arrest.

He is set to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on August 27.
