Attleborough man arrested after leaving the scene of fatal collision with 17-year-old cyclist




A man has been arrested in Attleborough after a crash in which a cyclist died.

The man, who is in his 30s, was arrested at an address in the town on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after leaving the scene of the collision, which happened in Northwold.

The cyclist, a 17-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene after being tended to by emergency services.

The incident happened shortly before 9pm on the A134 at the crossroads of Northwold and Methwold Road and involved a Mitsubishi Warrior pick-up truck.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and scene investigations were carried out. It was reopened around 5am this morning.

The Attleborough man was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre where he remains in custody.
