Man and a woman taken to hospital after early morning house fire in Uplands Way, Diss




A man and a woman were taken to hospital today after an early morning fire at a house in Diss.

Fire crews from Diss, Attleborough and Harleston were called to a property in Uplands Way at around 1.12am.

A Norfolk Police spokesperson said a man and a woman were taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital suffering from smoke inhalation and have since been discharged.

The crews used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, with the incident closed at 2.11am.

Officers were seen at the house later today with the police spokesperson adding that they attended the scene to support with the investigation of the cause of the fire, which was not suspicious.
