Harleston Lions Club will kick off their annual charity walk on Sunday, May 25, to benefit East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.

As with last year’s event, the walk will cover an eight-mile circular route through the Harleston countryside and around the farmland, starting and concluding at the entrance to the Gawdy Hall Estates on Church Lane.

It starts at 10.30am.

Budgens and Kitchen Sense of Harleston have once again sponsored snacks and refreshments for the event, although participants are also encouraged to bring their own picnics to the estate’s private gardens after the walk.

The club has advised everyone talking part to wear good walking shoes and to keep dogs on leads at all times. Buggies and push chairs are said to be unsuitable for the route.

All walkers are asked to contribute a £5 minimum entry fee, or alternatively collect a sponsorship form and gather sponsors to raise more money.
