Life in Diss: Town team wants your views
Diss Town Team is seeking residents’ views to find out how people of the local area feel about the town and what it has to offer.
The Team is made of representatives of traders’ bodies, the town council, societies and sports groups.
We want to find out about how residents view Diss and the social opportunities available, and to measure whether the improvements being carried out will have a positive impact on residents’ lives
Diss is to see major changes over the next year, with an investment of more than £3million in the Corn Hall and the historic centre, with the Heritage Lottery Fund the main funder at £1.5 million.
Research interviewers will be in Mere Street and the Market Place on Friday and Saturday, for people who cannot access the survey online.
Alan Franks, who chairs the Town Team, said: “We want to find out about how residents view Diss and the social opportunities available, and to measure whether the improvements being carried out will have a positive impact on residents’ lives.
“There are separate surveys for adults and young people who are the future of the town.”
The survey will be carried out by Vivid Interface, an international market research company based in Diss. Geoffrey Dixon, managing director, said: “It is great that the Diss Town Team are giving residents the opportunity to comment on these major developments in the town. We are pleased to provide our services on a pro-bono basis to support our community.”
