At last, something is being done about the Causeway Infant School (What next for site?, July 3). For over 15 years I have been trying to get something done, and three years ago I managed to get a South Norfolk councillor to arrange a meeting with Mr Rackham, but he didn’t turn up and I heard no more.

I love Diss, having known it for over 60 years, and that was such a beautiful Victorian building I hate the thought of it being demolished like so many of Diss’ old buildings.

I have also asked South Norfolk Council to get the house in Victoria Road tidied up, which they did before Christmas but it has now returned to a weed bed. I also asked that the Causeway be cleaned up and other ‘through ways’, but I am told that they are nothing to do with Diss Council.
