Ever since Margaret Thatcher’s days, big is best.
Has anyone considered what an only child might feel on entering a classful of 30 or more children?
I was entered into a large school at the age of eight after being in a small local primary school. I climbed up the stairs, entered the door and stood there, not knowing what to do or where to go, but luckily an older girl saw me and helped me to find where I had to leave my coat and where my form was.
There were about 27 in my class and the teachers always knew our names and learnt how good, or bad, we were at their subject. It’s the same with hospitals, why did they close all the small hospitals? Do they not think about visiting patients?
I can’t believe how uncaring the governments have become; all they seem to think about is money to make more money.
