LETTER: ‘Diss has not kept up with growth’
Unfortunately when urban people come to live in rural areas they do not realise how different it is.
Houses are built but roads are not widened. It apparently is not realised that trees and hedges grow all round, so pedestrians have to squeeze past over-grown hedges and cower under trees which also have roots.
I have fallen over uneven paving stones and damaged my face and was helped by passers-by. Paving, like roads, need a firm base but these days there is no time to ensure this. Diss was a lovely market town but alas little of that remains.
