Katie’s a cut above with charity trim

A seven-year-old girl from Diss has had her flowing locks trimmed for charity.

Katie Weedon, who is a Roydon Primary School pupil, is sending her hair to the Little Princess Trust charity, which provides real hair wigs for children with hair loss.

Her mum Hannah said: “We are very proud of her.

“She was very attached to her long hair, but when she had it cut she said it was the best day ever.”

Katie, who was partly inspired to do the challenge after losing her grandmother to cancer, has also raised £150 in sponsorship.

The hair has to be cut in a certain way, and is then posted off to the charity. Katie reportedly also loves her new haircut.
