North Lopham publican thanks public after £1,300 charity cheque presentation to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (Each)
A proud publican has hailed villagers’ community spirit after customers raised £1,300 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (Each).
Louise Griffiths, who runs The Kings Head, in North Lopham, organised a grand raffle, and the eagerly-awaited draw was tied in with a village Santa run.
“It’s the most beautiful village, full of the kindest people, and we feel so blessed,” said Mrs Griffiths, who runs the pub with her husband, Martin.
“There is an incredibly strong sense of community spirit, and our customers were so supportive in terms of donating prizes and buying tickets.”
