Diss Corn Hall, St Nicholas Street, celebrates its 15th birthday

A town centre arts and community venue is celebrating its 15th birthday this weekend.

The Corn Hall marked the milestone with a gala drinks event for members, Friends of the Corn Hall, volunteers and stakeholders, at the weekend.

The venture originally launched in 2010 and transformed into a multi-purpose arts, education, and community center with a £2 million National Lottery-supported project.

Additionally, a £3.4 million Heritage Triangle project, largely funded by the Heritage Lotttery Fund and local authorities, further regenerated the historic town centre, with a focus on the venue.

It now attracts national and international acts and has become one of the premier arts and entertainments venue in the region.

General manager Lee Johnson said: “After Covid, the current cost-of-living crisis, it’s a remarkable achievement. Thanks to everyone who has supported us.”
