Eye's open for an art exhibition you can bank on.

An art exhibition has opened in Eye today, displaying work by members of the Eye Arts Guild.

From Wednesday to the end of July, The Bank in Castle Street will showcase a series of work created over the last year.

Peter Brooke, one of the directors of the arts venue, said: “The guild has been instrumental in providing a great focus for creativity and being productive during lockdown.

“It’s a fantastic resource for the community in Eye and its work is inspirational.”

A spokesman for the guild said: “During lockdown, it has not been possible for the guild to meet in the normal way, but members have been busy painting, drawing, printing and stitching at home, and have shared their work through Zoom meetings and online.

“We hope people will come and see the results.”
