LEARN MOREDiss High School students have raised £985 from a charity auction, which included a signed Ed Sheeran CD and a Scandinavian bread-making workshop voucher.
Business students Cait Croft, Lucie O’Brien and Zeyno Oguz set up the event to raise money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices and Brain Tumour Research UK.
Due to recent surges in Covid cases, the December 6 event was held online.
Sam Budds, who teaches business at the Walcot Road site, said: “Diss sixth form students have been holding an annual charity week for more than 15 years as part of their final coursework.
“These students set £900 as their target as that is what the event raised in 2019. To have exceeded this target is a magnificent result.”
Supporting businesses included Fredericks Fine Foods, Hilary and Alice, Diss Publishing and Brownie and the Bean bakery.
