Harleston Young Farmers conquer epic marathon for cancer charity
Members of Harleston Young Farmers Club and Harleston Countrysiders pushed themselves to the very limit last month as they completed an epic indoor marathon in aid of a Norfolk cancer charity.
The team has raised more than £500 for The Big C the time of going to press, after collectively travelling nearly 1,500 miles on treadmills, exercise bikes and rowing machines at their clubhouse over three gruelling days.
Helen Reeve said: “It was the first time in the club’s 77 years that a charity activity of this scale had taken place which was physically and mentally exhausting.
“Massive congratulations to everyone for coming together to help out with such a fantastic event.”
