Harleston welcomes back Santa’s sleigh this Christmas
Santa’s new sleigh is geared for it’s return this Christmas in Harleston, keeping up an annual festive tradition.
It’s that time of year again when the festive season is upon us and Harleston welcomes the return of Santa’s sleigh.
The campaign has been running for more than 20 years and is a well known and cherished event in Harleston’s Christmas calender.
With the help of The Round Table, whose voluntary efforts benefit local charities, organisations and good causes, the sleigh is set to visit for yet another year.
Chairman of the Harleston and District Round Table, Chris Aldrich said: “Every year everyone looks forward to the sleigh coming round, especially the kids. It’s nice to see everyone get excited.
“We hope to raise £2,000 for our local charities this year”.
The sleigh will begin its journey through Harleston on Tuesday, December 8 and Wednesday, December 9 at 5:30pm. On Saturday, December 19 the sleigh will visit Aslacton and Great Moulton where it will reside. Collections will be ongoing throughout the event.
A free pantomime in Harleston, organised by the Round Table, Cinderella, will be performed at the new location of Archbishop Sancroft High School on Sunday, January 3, at 2pm.
