A Harleston entrepreneur and mother-of-four has been recognised for balancing her successful business with family life after walking away with a national business award earlier this month.
Tanya Heasley, who lives in The Common, won the Highly Commended award for Courage at the seventh annual Mumpreneur Awards, a ceremony which celebrates entrepreneurial parents all throughout the UK.
Mrs Heasley, who triumphed over 3,000 other nominees, runs Restoring Lives, an anger management and life coaching service, and Momatuvi, a bespoke gifts and crafts business.
She said: “It took me a while to notice my name had been announced and even when I noticed my name on the screen I was still a little stunned.
“The only thing I actually remember thinking was how surreal everything was.
“I’m chuffed to bits to have received an award for my efforts in establishing an anger management service and this award reinforces my abilities in growing my business.”
“Being self-employed can feel lonely at times and attending an event like this helps mums share their thoughts and fears of running a business, gain support from each other and promote their business through networking.”
