Harleston man charged with Stowmarket burglaries

A man from Harleston has been charged with carrying out three burglaries in Stowmarket.

Samuel Rossiter, 27, of Haughley Road, was charged yesterday (July 14), with three burglaries and receiving stolen property.

The homes he is accused of targeting were in Bury Road, Bury Street and Cardinalls Road, Stowmarket.

The first took place between October 11-12, 2015, when a Bosch Jigsaw, a circular saw, a Bosch battery drill charger and battery and a three inch angle grinder were among items taken.

A purse containing cash and bank cards and a Canon camera charger were among items stolen during the second incident on October 12, 2015, while jewellery and computer and sporting equipment were stolen during the third burglary on June 29, 2016.

Rossiter also allegedly received stolen property this year, between May 7 and 14.

He appeared before Ipswich Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was remanded in custody.

His next court appearance will take place at Ipswich Crown Court on August 14.
