Harleston couple's annual lights display is just electric

For the 19th consecutive year, a Harleston couple have decked their house in a fantastic array of Christmas lights in order to raise funds for a charity close to their hearts.

Sue Sanford and her partner, Peter George, have once again decorated the front of their Pound Close home and garden with a festive lights display, to help raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Sue said: “I chose Cancer Research because I recovered from breast cancer in 2001 and thought this would be a good way to give something back.

“People’s support throughout the years has been absolutely brilliant and they are always so generous.”

This year’s display came to life on Sunday, December 1 and Sue says they will be on every night, between 5pm to 9pm, until the end of the month.

In 2018, the festive offering raised around £300 from donations and, over the years, has raised thousands for the research and awareness charity.
