The Pods Chocolates in Harleston named Great Taste award winner

A family-run handmade chocolate and fudge business in Harleston has been named as a Great Taste award winner.

The Pods Chocolates, in Church Street, owned by mother Meryl Harding and daughter Mel Pittman, was awarded a one-star Great Taste award for its ‘Orange Intense’ dark chocolate truffle.

Meryl said: “It is just stunning. We were really excited as it is one of the first flavours we made, since we started in 2007.

“We have also had so much interest in people asking for it since the award as well, which has been great.”

The pair had to send in 20 individual chocolates to the judges of the prestigious food and drinks awards, which included food critics, food journalists, chefs and restaurateurs.
