Debenham woman hopes to spread caring community spirit this Christmas

A woman has made it her mission to help build closer bonds between family, friends and community in the run-up to Christmas.

Stephanie Stanhope, from Debenham, hopes her daily messages, which she will film and post on social media as we approach the big day, will keep community spirit and care for ourselves and others at the forefront of people’s minds.

“I’ve struggled myself this year and felt isolated, and there are so many others in a similar situation,” said the 30-year-old.

“I will be posting video messages every day to give people ideas about what they can do to help people around them and keep themselves positive, and I’m talking to community groups about expanding that further.

“Some of my videos will be simple ideas, and some will be based more around mindfulness and the senses.

“I’m hoping that anyone who reads this and doesn’t regularly use social media will be encouraged to reach out if they are lonely or in difficulty.”
